How to Customize Your Pickup Truck

Posted by Lauren Middleton on Jun 28th 2020

We have seen an uptick in customers who want to accessorize their pickup trucks in the last year. Pickup trucks are extremely useful vehicles and they are very versatile. Many of our customers use their trucks for farming, construction, recreation, and towing. We carry several different auto body parts for Ford, Dodge, and Chevrolet pickup trucks. If you want to give your truck an upgrade, our article this week will offer you some tips on how to customize your pickup truck.

If you use your truck for your business, there are many items you can purchase to use for it. One of the most popular is a stainless steel toolbox that fits in the truck bed. Because it stretches the width of the truck, the box will usually have enough space to hold tools and other pieces of equipment such as shovels and electric tools. If you are in the landscaping business, you can purchase specialized equipment racks to attach to the sides of the bed of the truck. The racks are useful for transporting trimmers and other types of elongated lawn care equipment. Trucks can also be outfitted with lights that can illuminate the jobsite when it is dark out.

If you want to focus more on making the interior of your truck look good, you can start with simple things such as seat covers and new floor mats. If you want to add custom floor mats, we now offer that as a service. If you’re more interested in the tech aspect of your interior customization, you may want to look at a new stereo system that can be played with your smartphone or tablet. If you have a family and a truck with an extended cab, a video system may make long road trips extremely fun.

Summer is great time to get your truck muddy so if you use it for recreation, a lift kit or upgraded shocks can make off roading fun. A lift kit can also provide the room you need to put on some larger tires with specialized tread that will make off roading easier. Undercarriage protection will protect the underside of your truck if it bottoms out on anything while on the trail. You can also have a winch installed on the front of the truck to ensure you don’t get stuck in the mud.
