Many of our regular customers are actually classic car enthusiasts who enjoy the hobby of rebuilding and restoring antique cars. From trucks to Mustangs, we carry several different auto body parts for those who enjoy the hobby of classic car restoration. We have heard many stories in the 50 years that we have been in business about the different difficulties each car presents when the restoration and rebuilding begins.

Because of Coronavirus, many large scale car events for the summer have been cancelled. This may leave you with some extra time on weekends to try out something new such as rebuilding a classic car. As we said before, certain cars come with more difficult restorations than others so we have a list of the top 5 easiest classic cars to restore.

1.The Ford Mustang: This is a favorite of ours. Ford has sold over 2.5 million Mustangs in its first five years in production. Because of this, there is a lot of printed material out there on how to restore them. There are also a lot of parts available both new and used to rebuild. This is because of the sheer amount of Mustangs that have been sold over the years.

2.Chevrolet Bel Air: Reproduction parts are becoming very easy to find for the 50s era cars. Another attractive feature of the Bel Air is that a lot of modern day electrical, and conversions work well with the car. Because these cars are so easy to restore, they are selling out fast so be sure to start looking now!

3.Dodge Chargers: Like the Ford Mustang, parts for this car are usually readily available because of its popularity. There is also a book called Project Charger: The Step-by-Step Restoration of a Popular Vintage Car. The writer of the book spent over 1,000 hours restoring a Charger and chronicled it very well in the book.

4.Buick Riviera: This car was one of the best designed vehicles of the 60s. Because of this, it has gained popularity as a car to restore now. Rivieras are very popular with collectors and many companies are now offering affordable replacement parts for it.

5.Chevrolet Corvette: Third generation Corvettes are one of the most popular classic cars to restore. Third generation Corvettes have a more modern emission system which often stays intact which makes the restoration process much easier. After the Corvette is restored is provides a fun and uniquely American driving experience.
